Carl Gaines

General Manager

Carl began his career with the Quadrangle Club more than 40 years ago, starting as a server in 1979 and advancing through various roles to become General Manager.

He embodies the spirit of the Club with his professionalism, warmth and commitment to excellence – qualities he brings to his leadership of others and to the member experience.

Megan Duszynski

Director of Catering & Membership 

A graduate of Iowa State University, Megan has been with the Quadrangle Club for 10 years as a critical contributor to private events and celebrations.

Always willing to go the extra mile for clients and members alike, she has been integral in growing the Club as a historic and social setting on the University of Chicago campus.

Emilio Gonzalez

Executive Chef 

A graduate of the Illinois Institute of Art, Chef Emilio grew up with a deep appreciation for fresh and local ingredients learned by watching his parents work as farmers in the fields of Southern California.

Working in the kitchen with his mother and grandmother grew his passion for culinary arts and vegetable-forward thinking, which he now implements at the Club with a modern take on Classic International Cuisine.

Chef Emilio’s expertise is supported by a background as sous chef for The Lobby Restaurant, a Michelin-starred establishment during his time there. He has also excelled in dual roles; managing both restaurants and a in-room dining program, first as the Executive Sous Chef, and then as Executive Chef at the Conrad.
